Announcing Eidōlon Points System
How activity becomes signal, and signal becomes tokens
Episteme is building a market for scientific truth. Not a metaphor, not a slogan, but a working system where hypotheses become markets and belief acquires price. Eidōlon is the first public form of that idea: a live testnet where uncertainty is expressed through participation, not authority.
To reward the people who actually use, stress-test, and explain Eidōlon, we’re introducing Eidōlon Points, an activity-based drop system. Points are an accounting layer for contribution. When tokens are distributed, your share is proportional to the points you’ve earned.
Think of Points as your Eidōlon Score: a number that reflects how you interact with the platform, how you help it grow, and how early you showed up.

What Points Are (and What They Aren’t)
Points are not a speculative asset. They are not transferable, tradable, or financial instruments. They are a ledger of participation.
They reward:
Using the market as intended
Turning ideas into tradeable hypotheses
Helping others understand and join
Showing up early
Acting in small, coordinated groups rather than alone
They intentionally do not reward empty clicks, spam, or purely extractive behavior. Every category has caps. Some actions require manual approval. The system is designed to favor signal over noise.
How You Earn Points
Points are earned across five dimensions. Everything ultimately rolls up into a single score.

1. On-Chain Activity: Using the Market
Eidōlon is a platform for scientific markets. The most fundamental contribution is to actually participate in it.
Each accounting period (an epoch, typically one month), you earn points for:
Your first trade of the month
Exploring new markets
Trading volume, measured proportionally
This rewards both exploration and conviction, without incentivizing wash behavior.
2. Hypothesis Creation: Turning Ideas into Markets
Episteme lives on the quality of its hypotheses.
When you submit a hypothesis:
Approval into the queue earns points
Launching as a live market earns more
Reaching real engagement earns a bonus
To prevent spam, rewards are capped per user at each stage. Beyond the cap, hypotheses still gain visibility and reputation, just not additional drop weight.
3. Off-Chain & Social Contributions
Markets don’t grow in silence. We reward people who explain Episteme, bring others in, and contribute thoughtful discourse.
One-time actions (joining communities, following official channels, subscribing) are rewarded once, with a hard cap.
Recurring actions — original posts, quote tweets, thoughtful replies, longform articles or videos — can earn points every epoch, but always within limits and often with manual review. Quality matters more than volume.

4. Early Users: Wave Multipliers
If you showed up early — actually interacting on-chain, not just watching — your points carry more weight.
We define waves based on your first verified interaction:
Wave 0 (OG): before public launch
Wave 1 (Early): after announcement, before open access
Wave 2+: regular users
Early waves receive a multiplier on their base points. This reflects risk, patience, and early trust in an unfinished system. We may also add a one-time OG bonus at snapshot.
5. Clusters: Small Groups That Think Together [TBA]
Episteme is not optimized for solo farming. We want epistemic squads.
Clusters are small groups of 2–6 verified humans:
Each user can belong to exactly one cluster
All members must be Humanode-verified
All members must reach a minimum activity threshold per epoch
If the cluster is active, every member receives a bonus, scaled by cluster size. The effect is intentionally modest: enough to reward coordination, not enough to overpower individual contribution.
How Your Final Score Is Calculated
More info in Eidolon Points 101.
For each epoch:
We sum your Base Points (on-chain + hypothesis + off-chain).
We apply your early-wave multiplier, if any.
We add your cluster bonus, if eligible.
If the drop spans multiple epochs, we sum your scores across time. That total is your Final Score, which determines your proportional token allocation.
Why This Exists
This system isn’t about gamification. It’s about alignment.
Eidōlon Points reward the behaviors that make a market for scientific truth possible: participation, intellectual risk, explanation, early trust, and small groups of humans thinking together. The rules are explicit, the caps are visible, and the math is boring on purpose.
The markets are live.
The accounting has started.
Signal is accumulating.
