Announcing Eidōlon Clusters
Small groups of verified humans thinking together
Eidōlon isn’t built for solo farming.
Episteme is building a market for scientific truth, and markets only work when they can separate signal from noise, coordinated human inquiry from automated extraction. As Eidōlon grows, the most valuable unit of participation won’t be the lone account. It will be the small group: people who debate, iterate, and translate uncertainty into prices—together.
That’s what Eidōlon Clusters are for.
Clusters are a new participation mode in the Eidolon Points system: teams of 2–6 Humanode-verified humans who coordinate each epoch and receive a modest bonus for sustained, real collaboration.
Our bet is simple: science is a social engine—not a single-player mode.
What Clusters Are
A Cluster is a small, persistent group identity inside Eidōlon.
Clusters are designed to reward:
coordination over individual grinding;
shared attention over scattered clicks;
human collaboration over bot-scale farming;
ongoing participation, not one-off hype.
You can think of a Cluster as an epistemic squad: a compact unit of people who explore markets together, create hypotheses together, debate outcomes together, and help others understand what’s happening.
Why We’re Introducing Them
Eidolon Points systems tend to collapse into noise unless they’re shaped carefully.
Clusters exist to push the system toward behaviors we actually want:
people forming micro-labs around domains (longevity, AI, climate, neuroscience, etc.)
groups that generate better hypotheses because they’ve argued them into clarity
teams that market-make responsibly because they’re accountable to each other
communities that onboard new users through shared context, not spam
Clusters also make one thing explicit: Episteme is not a single-player game.
The Rules (Simple on Purpose)
Clusters will follow a few strict constraints:
2–6 members per cluster;
each person can belong to exactly one cluster;
all members must be Humanode-verified;
all members must hit a minimum activity threshold per epoch;
if the cluster is active, each member receives a bonus, scaled by cluster size.
The effect is intentionally modest. Clusters are not meant to overpower individual contribution. They’re meant to reward real coordination, without making “forming squads” the only rational strategy.
Why Humanode Verification Is Required
Clusters only work if “2–6 members” means 2–6 actual humans.
Without verification, coordinated groups quickly become Sybil swarms: dozens of accounts masquerading as a “team,” extracting rewards by scale rather than contribution. That’s exactly what we don’t want.
So for Clusters, we use a simple requirement:
Your Humanode identifier is the EVM address you use on Eidōlon, biomapped via Humanode.
That’s the unit we use to enforce one-person-one-cluster.
This keeps the cluster bonus tied to genuine human coordination, not automation.
How Cluster Bonuses Work
Each epoch:
we compute your Base Points (on-chain + hypothesis + off-chain)
apply your early-wave multiplier (if eligible)
add your cluster bonus (if your cluster is active)
A cluster is “active” when:
all members are verified
all members meet the epoch threshold
the cluster does not trigger anti-farming flags (duplicate addresses, suspicious patterns, etc.)
The math is boring on purpose. The goal is not gamification. The goal is alignment.
Who Clusters Are For
Clusters are for people who want to take Eidōlon seriously.
Hypothesis builders who want to curate better markets;
Traders who want to explore uncertainty collaboratively;
Communicators who want to explain markets in public without turning into shills;
Domain squads who want to focus on a research area and build a long-term presence.
If you already have a tiny group of friends, colleagues, or community members who think well together, you’re already halfway there. Register here: Episteme Eidōlon: Clusters Registration.
How to Register a Cluster
Registration is open now.
One person (the Cluster Lead) submits a single form for the group. You’ll provide:
cluster name + focus
the EVM addresses used on Eidōlon for each member (Humanode-biomapped)
optional coordination links (helps with review)
Cluster membership is reviewed.
We’re optimizing for human coordination, not mass submissions.
Register here: Episteme Eidōlon: Clusters Registration.
(We’ll publish accepted clusters on a rolling basis.)
The Point
Clusters aren’t a feature. They’re a claim about what this platform is.
Episteme is not built for passive spectators. It’s built for participation, disagreement, and collective reasoning—expressed through markets, bounded by verification, and shaped by incentives that prefer signals.
Eidōlon markets are live.
Points are accumulating.
Now: the squads arrive.
